Highs and Lows

These last two weeks have been a tax on my emotions. Both good and bad. On March 17th we left Hiko with Ryan and went to Ogden. We visited with Rowdy and then we stayed overnight with Rocky's brother Dennis. Then on Wednesday, March 18, we took Ryan to the MTC. Here is a picture of us outside the MTC.

Here is a picture of Ryan inside the MTC. This is an exciting awesome time for Ryan. But I found out that it isn't for me. YET. I am getting there. It is just that I miss him soo much.
I was only home for one day and I headed for Circleville. Luke and his little family, Kristi and Dalley, and Shawn, Stina and Ira, and I left Friday morning for a quick trip. Here is one of our stops. The Glen Canyon Dam

One of our main goals was to see the Grand Canyon. Here is Luke, Lukie, and Cody at the Grand Canyon.

This really doesn't do it justice.

I had some great times with my grandkids. It was awesome.

Here we are. Me , Cody, Kate, and Lukie sitting in four states at once. This is Four Corners.

We went in to New Mexico to visit a town that an ancestor of ours lived and died in. This cemetery is in Fruitland. The ancestor was Ira Hatch. This is Shawn and Ira by his grave. Then we were able to visit with two of Ira's Grandsons who are both over 90 years old but still going strong. What a delightful visit we had.

The last day we went to Mesa Verde. Here is the one and only picture I got there because my camera died right after taking it.

It was a fabulous trip. But it was sad to have it be over, because now Shawn and Stina are moving to Oregon. And what is worse they are taking Ira with them. So through all the joy of these events is a huge sadness. Sadness for missing my baby so much (Ryan). Sadness that I will not see Ira very often. I will miss so much of his life. But looking on the bright side. They are doing what is best for them. It will work out okay. I'll be okay.

How it went.

Well the weekend was AWESOME. We were all together except for Rowdy's kids. For some of you who have not seen pictures of my new grandchildren of this year I am posting some that I swiped off of Kristi and Stina's Blogs. This is Rocky and Ira in his cowboy hat.
This is me with Ira outside of the temple.

This is the three new ones at Christmas time. Dalley is in the middle and he is the oldest. Then L.E. on the right is the next one. Ira on the left is the youngest. Oh we do love these special sweet kids.
